1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using AppSec Arena ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform.

2. Educational Purpose

AppSec Arena is an educational platform designed to teach web application security concepts. All challenges, exercises, and materials are provided strictly for educational and training purposes.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Use the platform to attack, exploit, or test systems you don't own or have permission to test
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the platform
• Share solutions, exploits, or answers publicly in a way that spoils challenges for others
• Use automated tools to scrape content or submit solutions
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Upload malicious code designed to harm the platform or other users
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the platform's operation
• Use the platform for any illegal purposes

5. Code Execution and Sandbox

Some challenges may involve executing code in a sandboxed environment. You understand and agree that:

• All code execution occurs in isolated containers with limited resources
• Attempts to escape the sandbox or access unauthorized resources are prohibited
• We may monitor and log code submissions for security purposes
• Execution time and resources are limited per submission
• We reserve the right to block users who abuse the execution environment

6. Intellectual Property

All content on AppSec Arena, including but not limited to challenges, documentation, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of AppSec Arena or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any content from this platform without our prior written consent.

7. Fair Play and Competition

To maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all users:

• Solve challenges independently unless collaboration is explicitly allowed
• Do not share flags, solutions, or detailed hints with others
• Report any bugs or unintended solutions to the platform administrators
• Leaderboard rankings should reflect genuine effort and skill
• We reserve the right to remove points or ban accounts for cheating

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Warranty that the results from using the platform will be accurate or reliable

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall AppSec Arena, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AppSec Arena and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the platform.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
